Castillo de Canena takes its name from the family castle nestled in the hills of Canena in the Andalusian region of Spain. The family has been in the olive business since the 1780s. Their specialty mono-varietal oils have received multiple national and international awards. Spain has long been a bulk olive oil producing region, but this family is taking ancient olive groves and utilizing the most modern techniques to produce award winning oils!
Fresh olive oil is a "live" ingredient and designed to be enjoyed. This 16.8 oz bottle is dark to help protect the oil from damaging light, but do store in a cool location out of direct sunlight. Don't be stingy--enjoy!
