Viva Gourmet IS a Small Business. It is surprising how many people think it is a franchise or worse yet, a multi-level-marketing business. We are indeed a Small Business with a vision and passion for bringing gourmet ingredients, which are often only available to chefs, to the home cooking enthusiast along with recipes and ideas to inspire you to make your Table a place where memories happen.
It seems Black Friday has now taken over Thanksgiving day, so less people can spend time being Thankful with and for the important people in their life. It has now expanded into its own “season”. I’m not sure when it begins and ends. Black Friday is followed by Small Business Saturday ( which I applaud American Express for promoting – unfortunately Viva Gourmet does not have a ‘brick and mortar’ storefront so we don’t qualify to officially participate.) This is followed by Cyber Monday … And from what I can tell from the media/advertising world, you should be completely done with your thoughts of holiday sharing with those special people by this point.
This is Crazy to me! ENJOY the holiday season. Enjoy Thanksgiving, Christmas, Hanukah, and the New Year. Who knows perhaps you have a birthday or anniversary to celebrate in there as well. Be Thankful, Enjoy and Celebrate, the big and the small throughout the entire season!
Support your local farmers and small businesses this season ( and all the time!). Support and celebrate your friends and family. Viva Gourmet is a small business and we supports many more small businesses. All of our Artisan producers are small businesses who really CARE about the ingredients they grow, raise and craft. They want to make the BEST, not the Most. They are carrying on ancient techniques and traditions, and preserving heritage animals, crops and recipes. They are often also using modern technology in addition to their ancient craft. They are not trying to be on the shelf of every ‘big box store’. They want their ingredients to be enjoyed on your table!
